As a Couple and Family Therapist, Heather treats individuals, couples, and families in a therapeutic environment to meet their psychological, emotional, and spiritual needs. She uses a strength-based, systematic approach to help people move towards healing, wholeness, and healthy relationships. She believes the stuck place in a relationship is an invitation to move to a higher level of emotional growth and self-awareness for the benefit of the self, as well as one's relationships and children.
Heather specializes in couple work, as well as parental issues, sexual dysfunction, gay, lesbian and transgender identity, depression, anxiety, stress management, trauma recovery, life transitions, adolescents, personal growth, eating disorders, grief and loss, divorce, separations and blended families, physical, emotional and sexual abuse, substance abuse, and communication issues.
Heather holds an Honours B.A. from the University of Western Ontario and a Masters degree in Couple and Family Therapy from Syracuse University. She also holds professional membership with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
Fees are set to allow access by a full range of socioeconomic groups.
